John Cena delivered a historic moment on his final WWE RAW appearance, closing his legendary run by pinning a “dangerous” 3-time Champion — the same man CM Punk once warned the world about.
In Madison Square Garden, Cena once again crossed paths with Dominik Mysterio, the superstar he defeated last week to win the Intercontinental Championship and complete his Grand Slam. Cena offered Dominik an immediate rematch, but “Dirty” Dom refused unless he had home-field advantage. With Survivor Series: WarGames taking place in his hometown of San Diego, Dominik officially challenged Cena for the title — and the match is now locked in.
Before Cena could leave RAW, The Judgment Day attacked him, prompting Sheamus and Rey Mysterio to make the save. This led to a six-man tag team match — John Cena, Sheamus, and Rey Mysterio vs. The Judgment Day.
In his final RAW match ever, Cena scored the decisive pinfall over JD McDonagh, the 3-time Champion CM Punk once described as an “exceptional killer” who could beat anyone if they weren’t careful. Cena stood tall one last time on the red brand, ending his RAW career with a victory and a message that his journey on Monday nights is officially over.
